It's that time, all the Christmas parties are starting! Mine is actually this Friday but I wanted to blog about what makeup I was going to wear but would not have the time nor the light to do it next Friday.

 

I went for a red lip and neutral eye as you can see. I love the lashes and the definition to the eyes.

 

 

Lid:

 

To create the eyes I took 'All that Glitters' all over the eyes then 'Sultry' in the crease buffed right out to the brow bone. I then used 'Sexy' (a beautiful dark red/purple) building up the colour and intensity in the crease. I tried to keep the inner corner and lid as light as possible by topping up with 'All that Glitters' to finish.

 

Lower Lash Line:

 

For the lower lash line I mixed 'Sultry' & 'Sexy' on a pencil brush and blended under the eye. To darken even more, I took some kohl along the lower lash line to blended out with the same pencil brush.

The holiday/party season is fast approaching and I am SO excited to play with makeup (GLITTER). I wanted to do a look that was kind of 'dipping your toes in' party makeup for any early parties or events you may have but you feel it's still a little to early to go the full hog.

1) To start this look off I primed my skin as always, use what works for you. I used a medium coverage foundation and used concealer on any problem skin. I powdered my T-Zone and spritzed some Fix+ to finish my base.

2) For my eyes I took 'Seductive' (shimmery brown) all over my lid and 'Sultry' (matte medium brown) in the crease and kept building up the colour until I was happy. I took 'Sultry' onto my lower lash lane and applied a dark brown kohl liner in my waterline & tightline.

3) To finish the eyes I applied a liquid liner and created a small flick (heads up, the MUA Liquid Liner is pants - however their eyeshadow palettes are awesome) and curled my lashes to death and applied lashings of mascara.

4) To finish the face I contoured lightly, filled in my brows, applied a touch of blush to the apples of my cheek and then the best bit, the lip colour! You need to build this but once it is one, its lovely and does not budge!
