That Kylie Jenner Lip

So when I say 'that Kylie Jenner Lip' I think 99% of people will know what I'm talking about. It's been everywhere lately. I don't even know who Kylie Jenner is or what she does (maybe I've been living under a rock?) but I know all about her lips and her staple lip colour.

I'm loving the trend and think it's perfect for the Autumn season. When I get some time, I want to hunt down some new lip liners & lipsticks with a similar colour so please leave any recommendations below! I already have MAC Brave on my list, I've done some research and this looks like a lovely colour match.

Back on track, I did however come across a lipstick in my collection which has the same nude/brown/slightly pink tone but very muted. I love this colour and think it's such a nice wearable way of wearing this colour.

The lipstick in question is the 'Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Notting Hill Nude'. I've been a bad blogger and put a picture of the lipstick only below so you can see the colour in the bullet and packaging. I would usually swatch for you, but my hands are covered in mosquito bites from my recent trip and it's not pretty!

Available in Superdrug, Boots & Feel Unique retailing for £6.49

Are you a fan of the Kylie Jenner Lip?

Current Beauty Wishlist

We all have them beauty items that we hear amazing things of but never get around to purchasing them? This is my current list!

Zoeva Brush Set

I've heard so many good things about the Zoeva brushes and REALLY want to get my hands on them. I remember looking for where I could get them a few months back and they didn't seem that accessible but I've recently discovered that BeautyBay now stock them!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

I don't really need to say much about why I want this, once you start, you can't stop. I've got the Naked 1 & 2 so it would be rude not to add this to my collection. I also think out of all 3 palettes that I would use this the most.

NARS Sin Blush

This has been on my list for SO long I can't even remember. I think I remember Tanya Burr mentioning it in a tutorial a year or two ago and wanted it ever since. But now it's coming into Autumn I think it will be perfect & I have nothing like it in my collection.

Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler

Again, not much to say really. We all know it's the best out there at the moment. I'm a huge eyelash curler so I don't know why I haven't got this yet!?

I'm off to Greece in a few days so I'm going to make it my mission to pick up some of these from the airport duty free if they are available!

What's on your current beauty wishlist? Do you want to try any of these items too?

Autumn Evening Makeup Look

Products Used:

Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
Rimmel 25 Hour Nude Foundation in 100
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 3
Maybelline Matte Maker Powder
NARS Laguna Bronzer
theBalm Mary Lou Manizer
Rimmel Brow Pencil in Hazel
Benefit Rockateur Blusher
Collection Shadow Stick in Hot Chocolate
MAC Eyeshadow in Amber Lights
MAC Eyeshadow in Mulch
MAC Eyeshadow in Midnight
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Liner in Bronze
Maybelline Rocket Waterproof Mascara
Rimmel Apocalips in Matte Meteric

1) I started with a medium coverage, semi-matte base. I achieved this by building up my foundation with a buffing brush and concealing the problems areas (my nose, I have a cold!).

2) To achieve the eyes I applied the shadow pencil all over lids as a base and blended out. I applied some of the Amber Lights all over my lid and on my lower lash line, along with Mulch on the outer corner and lower lash line. To finish the eyes I used an angled liner brush with Midnight and lined my upper and lower lash line and created a small wing. I finished by applied a little kohl in my waterline and lashings of mascara.

3) Finishing the whole makeup look, I powdered, applied blush and blended it all out with a big fully powder brush to diffuse any harsh lines. I used the Apocalips on my lips and neatened up with a lip brush.

Autumn is my favourite season and I'm so excited for it!

I hope you enjoyed, Paige xo

Easy Halloween Make Up

Products Used:

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer
Rimmel 25 Hour Nude Foundation in 100
Maybelline Matte Maker Powder
NARS Bronzer in Laguna
Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown
theBalm Nude Tude Palette (Sexy & Serious)
L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara in Black
Avon Supershock Kohl Liner in Black
Social Eyes Lashes in Vamp
Rimmel Apocolips in Meteoric Matte

I had so much creating this look, I hope you like it! I wanted to do a makeup look that could go with most Halloween costumes, vampire, devil, sexy emergency services etc etc. I love how it turned out and I'll most properly be rocking this Halloween night!

1) For this look I think a full coverage matte base is best. It keeps the focus on the lips and eyes. I started with a mattifing primer then built up my foundation until I was happy with the coverage. Powder if needed (I'm super oily, so I need it!) and contour gently focusing purely on defining the face shape.

2) Moving onto the eyes, shape and fill in your brows how you like, I think that a strong brow would be super cool with this look but I didn't think to do it! I took 'sexy' l over the lid, making sure not to go up to the crease, I then took serious in the outer corner and blended in. I had to go back in with both colours building them up until I was happy. I found the deep red/purple shade 'sexy' got lost easy with all the back so I had to build this colour up a lot.

3) For under the eye I took 'sexy' and run it all along the lower lash line with a pencil brush then went over softly with 'serious' to deepen the colour. Once I was happy with the colour I took a big fluffy blending brush and feel blended it all out to make it super smokey. I also blended the colour up to the crease joining to the lid colour.

4) To finish the eyes I applied black kohl to the water line and the upper lash line and smudge gently. To set the eyes off I decided to apply lashes, I used the Social Eyes 'Vamp' lashes which were perfect.

5) Finishing the whole look off I applied the Rimmel Apocalips and blended a little of my eye kohl as lip liner to really deepen the colour and vamp it up.

I'd love to know your thoughts! Let me know what make up you will be wearing for Halloween this year!

Drugstore Haul (Autumn 2014)

Products Shown in Picture
Barry M Showgirl Lengthening Mascara
Rimmel Apocalips Matte in Meteoric Matte
Collection Shadow Stick in Hot Chocolate
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 3
Rimmel 25 Hour Nude Foundation in 100
Katy Perry Perfume in Killer Queen
Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Vanilla & Crush
I recently was ponding around Boots & Superdrug and picked up a few new releases (excluding my trusty collection concealer - I was running low) and though I would share what's new (new-ish)!
Barry M Showgirl Mascara
I actually got this free when purchasing the Nail Paints, they had a Volumizing & Lengthening version, I went for lengthening but am now wishing I chose volumizing! I don't have much to say about this mascara, it's not good, it's not bad. I think I will try and use it on natural days just to use it up but I will not be re-purchasing.
Rimmel Apocalips Matte Lip Stain
I saw this advertised and wanted to try it, I could of easily went for the whole collection (which I believe to be 4 colours at the moment) but decided to give one a go first before committing. I chose the darkest purple/plum shade as we are coming into winter and I'm really loving it. It applies lovely and has a lovely finish.
Collection Shadow Stick
I brought this on a whim as I saw it on the stand and it swatched beautifully. This is by far the best drugstore product I've tried in months. I was around £3.00 I think and it the best shadow stick I've tried. I actually really struggled getting the swatch off my hand! It is SUPER creamy and easy to blend and lasts ALL day (I also have very oily eyelids). I am going to picking up the rest of the colours very soon!
Rimmel 25 Hour Nude Foundation in 100
I've been trying this foundation out now for about a week. I do really like it for and easy medium coverage standard foundation. It's not matte but not dewy, just in between. I've found it works best with a silicone based primer, my favourite is the Maybelline Baby Skin. It applies in my opinion a lot smoother. As for the 25 hours wear? On me, nope. After about 6 hours it had wore off around my nose and started to separate on my fore and cheeks. I would re-purchase as it's nice for an every day foundation for me but not one I will reach for if I need staying power!

Katy Perry Perfume
I picked this up on another whim as it was on offer by the checkout, I gave it a quick sniff and really liked it. I like sweet/fresh perfumes. This leans on the sweeter side but still not too in your face, I've been loving it for everyday work wear.
Barry M Matte Nail Paints
I've been loving matte nails recently and wanted to add more to my collection, I thought these were lovely autumn colours and I love the formulation.
I hope you enjoyed my haul, let me know what you've picked up from the drugstore recently!

Rimmel 25 Hour Nude Foundation in 100
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Maybelline Make Maker Powder
Rimmel Brown Pencil in Hazel
Bourjois Délice de Poudre Bronzing Powder
Sleek Countour Kit in Medium (Highlighter)
Rimmel Blush in Santa Rose
Collection Shadow Stick in Hot Chocolate
Barry M Showgirl Extra Lengthening Mascara
Rimmel Kate Moss Lip Stick in 101

Today I picked up the Collection Shadow stick which inspired me to create a drugstore smokey eye, I hope you like this look, it look me around 10 minutes to do and the eye's take 1 step to create!

1) For my base I started by priming then buffing in a new Rimmel foundation I'm trying (review coming soon) with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I concealed under my eyes and blemishes and set with powder.

2) For the eyes I started by shaping and filling in my brows, To create the eye look, I simply took my shadow stick all over the lid (careful not to go to close to the crease) in the waterline and slightly under the eye. I took my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush and blended all the edges out, and that was it, done!

3) To finish the eyes I curled my lashes and applied lots of mascara, if I could change this look I would of used my trusty volumizing mascara but I was testing a new one out which didn't do much for my lashes! If you wanted to intensify this look you could take a black kohl liner and smudge on the upper and lower lash line.

4) To finish the entire look I lightly contoured and bronzed, applied highlighter on my cheek bones and applied blush to my apples then finished with this lovely baby pink matte lipstick.

I hope you enjoyed this post, please comment letting me know your favourite smokey eye products, I'd love to try some new stuff!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Review/Swatches

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Frambourjoise 02
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Hot Pepper 03

I picked these up in Superdrug recently as I've wanted to try them for a while and they were on offer for £5 each! I've been getting into a bold lip a lot more lately so was super excited to try them.

I love these lip products! (liquid lipsticks? Who knows!) They are fairly easy to apply but I would recommend to use a lip brush around the edges as it is a doefoot applicator and can be a little tricky to get a crisp line. Overall all I'm really impressed. They dry to a complete matte finish and DO NOT BUDGE. By that I mean, I applied Hot Pepper late morning yesterday, by the evening I was scoffing my dinner and decided to take my make-up off afterwards thinking it would have completed vanished, of course, like any other lip product, but no. It did not move at all, it looked like it did when I first applied it. I even had a little trouble removing it! I gently rubbed a bit of MAC's Cleanse Off Oil onto my lips to break it up and it came off.

Frambourjoise

Hot Pepper

(Frambourjois top, Hot Pepper bottom)

I'm super in love with these already, the fact that they are so affordable is a huge bonus.

I think they retail for £8.99 but the drugstores often have offers if your on a budget!

You can purchase from Superdrug or Boots

Summer Holiday Beauty Essentials

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Floral Blush
Simple Cleansing Wipes
Maybelline Rocket Waterproof Mascara
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in Bronze
Rimmel Brow Pencil in Hazel
Collection Concealer in 2
Maybelline Matte Maker Powder
Malibu Dry Oil Spray in 15 SPF
Garnier Body Tonic Body Moisturiser
Tresemme Heat Protector
Malibu Lip Protector Lip Balm in Watermelon
Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel
Soap & Glory Scrub of Your Life Body Scrub
Barry M Nail Paint in Copa Cabana
L'occitaine Shampoo & Condition
Dove Go Fresh Pomegranate Deodorant
Britney Spears Island Fantasy

For me, especially with summer holidays, I like to keep things very minimal. I love to wear make-up and get all dressed but when I'm holiday I really like to just chill in something comfortable and not have make-up dripping down my face (you know it happens).

Hair

For hair I usually blow dry on holiday purely because it tends to get frizzy in humidity, so for this I've packed a mini Tresemme Heat Protector which I actually might just throw into my handbag/beach bag and spritz through my hair when it's under the heat. Of course I also have my trusty batiste for when my hair gets sweaty/oily between washes to freshen up. I don't usually style my hair on holidays, just braid it or something but I might through in my curler wand for good measure.

Make-Up

Like I said, SIMPLE. No-one can be bothered applying a full face of make-up when you're itching to go get dinner and drink too much wine. I pretty much don't wear make-up in the day time at all, mainly because I like to get a little tan and after the first day my skin seems to clear up anyway. But in the evenings I like to use a little something to brighten things up. I usually dab a little concealer under my eyes, powder my face, apply a little brown kohl around my eyes and smudge, shape my brows and finish with mascara and lip balm.

Skincare/Body

On holiday I like to let my skin really breathe. I barely do anything at all. This usually does my skin a world of good, my skin glows when I get back from a holiday and is always looking its best. If I was going for longer than a week I would definitely look at taking my skincare routine products with me. I have my simple wipes, in case I wear make-up. Body scrub, for any scaly skin issues. Moisturiser, which I will apply each night to keep my skin hydrated.

Sun Protector, doh! I LOVE getting a tan, having olive skin, this is quite easy for me (thanks dad) but am still all about protecting it so I don't get burnt and expose myself to any risks. I love this Malibu Sun Protector, I've used it for my last few holidays and love everything about it. The smell is incredible, a holiday in a bottle. You do not have to rub in or wait to dry, spray and it's gone. At first I was actually like, nooo this can't be protecting me, right? I didn't get burnt once. Finally, it is SO cheap. Sun Creams/Lotions/Potions can get very expensive, I originally brought this as it was one of the cheapest but don't think I will go back!

I may chuck in a few extra things last minute, I need some 'Quickies' Nail Polish remover pads, these are fab for a quick touch up. Maybe a bright summer lipstick? Who knows! In a weeks time I will be waiting in the airport for my flight to come in so I can jet off to Greece. I'm super excited!

What are your holiday essentials? Please let me know, I may be forgetting something!

Autumn Daytime Make-Up Look

Products Used:

Essence All About Matt Primer
L'Oreal True Match Foundation in D1/W1
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 in Fair
Maybelline Matte Maker Powder
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Rimmel Brow Pencil in Hazel
Maybelline Gel Liner in Black
Maybelline Falsies Flared Mascara
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush

Autumn is creeping on us in the UK so I wanted to do a light autumn look that was quick to create. This look consists of matte skin, thick liner and a dark red lip. It was super quick and easy and great if you want to amp things up a bit.

1) Starting with creating my matte base, I used a mattifing primer, then went onto my foundation which I built up to quite a full coverage for this look as I wanted it to look very crisp and defined. I concealed under my eyes and blemished and set with my powder.

2) Creating the liner was the hardest part for me as I'm a smudgy brown smokey eye gal. I started in the middle of the eye, slowly winging it out in line with the end of my brow. To achieve the thick line I just carried on building and building until it was the thickness I wanted.

3) I used my balm stain to lip my lips then fill in, I overdrew slightly to make my lips look fuller.

4) As a finishing touch, I took my matt bronzer and gently sculpted out my cheekbones. This really tied everything together as my face was looking very flat!
What do you think of this look? It's definitely out of my comfort zone as I love having colour on my bottom lashes but I love the way it turned out.

September Favourites

Real Techniques Powder Brush

This brush has made a huge difference in my makeup routine. I have several powder brushes which I use to do my powder, bronzer, blush etc.. But what I love this for is once all my powder products are on, I gently sweep all over my face buffing everything out. I can't tell you what a difference this makes! It just makes everything so flawless and smooth. Big LOVE.

Essence Nail Polish

I've been enjoying testing out the Essence nail polishes since getting my paws on them, but I can't stop using this particular shade. You know you love a polish when you've worn it three times in a row... I just always want to look at my nails with this on. It's a shade hard to describe, I would say it's a lilac/nude/taupe colour. It goes with everything and just looks beautiful.

Maybelline Rocket Mascara

This mascara has been a long time favourite of mine since it was released and I always go back to it without fail. I have average length lashes but they are super straight and nearly point down, so a mascara that can hold a curl is important. I curl my lashes and put a few layers of this on and it stays curled until I take my make up off at night. It is a little difficult to remove with your standard cleanser, so I just use my MAC Cleanse Off Oil to remove before my normal skincare routine. I always have a back up of this in my make up collection. I have found that the non-waterproof version DOES NOT work for me at holding a curl!

theBalm Mary Lou Manizer

Man oh man I love this stuff. Having very oily skin I find using highlighter difficult to use as it tends to make me look like a grease ball after an hour, but this product has changed my life. It just looks so beautiful on the skin and gives such a lovey glow. I would definitely say this is not a natural looking highlighter, however, if you run a powder brush over it you can easily blend it out for a more natural finish.

Essence Lipstick

I admit it, I went a bit nuts at the Essence counter. But I have found a gem find, so that's aloud, right? This lipstick is very sheer but if you are looking a wash of colour with a nice shine, this is lovely. It smells amazing (vanilla cupcakes, mmm), and is very moisturizing. It doesn't have great staying power at all but if that's not a problem for you, it's totally worth it (considering the price too!). I see this as a very similar product to the Maybelline Baby Lips but with a much better colour pay off and selection. This particular colour is a cute muted coral shade. I've been wearing all month long with a bit of black liner on the lids or with a brown smokey eye.

What are your favourites this month?
